The scientific programming committee is accepting abstracts for Poster or Oral presentations. Abstracts are due on March 31, 2019 and can be sent to Brian Franczak directly < franczakb at macewan dot ca > or can be submitted through a google form available here.

Travel and Transportation

Edmonton is accessible by air through Edmonton International Airport (YEG). YEG is approximately 32 kilometres (20 miles) from MacEwan University and downtown Edmonton. From YEG there a number of options to get to MacEwan University and the nearby hotels:

For those interested in spending time in the Canadian Rockies before or after the conference, the typical tourist spots include:

Banff, Alberta is approximately 413 kilometres (257 miles) from Edmonton and is easier to access through Calgary International Airport (YYC). YYC is roughly 287 kilometres (179 miles) from Edmonton. Each day, there are many connecting flights between YYC and YEG, this flight is approximately 45 minutes. 

Other popular tourist destinations include:

  2. The Icefields Parkway:

Jasper and the Icefields Parkway are approximately 365 kilometres (227 miles) west of Edmonton, and are accessible through car or bus.
